It is a race for talent

Several people sent me this excellent article, in which George Bradt, managing director of PrimeGenesis, argues that there are only three “true” job interview questions.
1.       Can you do the job?
2.       Will you love the job?
3.       Can we tolerate working with you?

This got me thinking, what are the three “true” questions for a candidate considering a new position:
1.       Will I be allowed to make an impact?
2.       Will I feel valued?
3.       Will I have fun?

Success is an “equal” partnership between employer and employee.  When you get it right, it feels like magic.  When it’s wrong, it affects everything.
Which is more important: what people DO or who they ARE? Is a company more powerful when it gets the WHO right or the WHAT?  While every situation is different, if I were given a choice, I’d choose the WHO.  As Zig Ziglar said, “Ability can take you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there.”
Maybe the most important question is, what do you believe in and why?  Just something to think about…
